Mehria Primary School

Anti Bullying

Our mission as a school is centred on our belief in Allah. The aim is to create a secure, caring, Islamic and happy environment for every pupil. It is a basic entitlement of all children that they receive their education free from humiliation, oppression and abuse. “BULLYING IN ALL ITS FORMS IS UNACCEPTABLE AT MEHRIA PRIMARY SCHOOL.”

We aim to provide a school environment where bullying is not tolerated and students feel safe to tell someone, whether another child or an adult, if they are being bullied. Through the academic and welfare curriculum we aim to promote an anti-bullying message and strongly encourage tolerance, caring for each other and mainly respect towards one another.

Mehria School actively advocates for a safe space. A space for students and teachers to conduct educational activities. Fostering a safe environment allows unhindered development. It allows the social, emotional, and mental development of a child. We at Mehria actively and vigilantly curb any activity that threatens a child’s well-being in any shape or form.

We conduct an annual event called Anti-Bullying Week. The aim of this event is to increase public awareness of:

  • Bullying
  • Effects of bullying on individuals
  • How crucial it is to stop bullying in communities, schools, and online settings

Every stakeholder i.e. Teachers, parents, and individuals, join their hands. For this week that is an elaborate undertaking. It fosters compassion, understanding, and respect. It also establishes a secure and welcoming atmosphere for all.

Mehria School strives to provide a welcoming space to its students so they can learn and grow. Children are vulnerable beings. It is our duty to give them a second home at school to nurture their progress and let them discover the world at their own pace without any negativity holding them back.
